@SHARPBLUE: I follow you!

Regarding a "possible" dvd release (if so), I´m only saying that it would be cool with yet another desert concert, with TDOTS in mind, wich sadly didn´t came out on dvd!

I would really like, if possible, to see a Jarre-concert in a desert in HD!!!

I´m not exspecting "the wild" with this concert, but I damn hope he will suprise us A LOT!!!

I do get your point Sharpblue, but I think there are loads of possibilities within JMJ's concept. Wait & See.

I agree with SharpBlue however...I also have stopped watching the last 2 concerts. I'm still trying to figure out why, from the point of view of a true "study case"...

The last 2 concerts include Gdansk, I guess? Well. That's bad. If you haven't even watched it once, you have severely missed out. The concert was VERY good.

I was at both at them...and I enjoyed a lot them as many of us!
But actually I watch with pleasure no more than 5 or 6 parts of the Gdansk's video.
I find the whole Beijing's video, instead, really boring...except of when they take JMJ to Thiananmen Square on the sidecar!

Maybe that's the point...It's better to be at a Live Jarre concert than watching it on TV. I ws at teh Mont. St. Michel concert and it was amazing. seeing it on a bootleg DVD...eh?

It's like some sporting events...you just have to see them live. I would say that Wayne's War of the Worlds translates because of the amazing visuals, etc. but I bet you that it was 100x better being there live.

Kinda of like the movie "The Producers" that bombed. I saw it on Broadway with Martin short and Jason Alexander and it was amazing. In fact it was one of the all-time best broadway shows. Just didn't translate to the 2 dimensional experience.

And that's what I'm relly getting at. At the concert, you are enveloped in sound, the specific environment, the French yelling at you to sit down, the smells, the firweworks over your head. That experience just can't be recreated on TV...HD or not!

Both concerts were splendid to watch on DVD. I have no complaints and I am pretty sure this will apply to the Morocco concert that is if it comes out on DVD.

I am at the moment crossing my fingers that I get to see it on Sky satellite. The info from Alfacam says “will be live on several public TV channels” and I am thinking please let it be the BBC.

I agree with you Jarre247 but after a while it can get boring so I see Sharpblue's (and Giovi's) point.

Honestly tell me you wouldn't rather see those same concerts live than on DVD?

When I first had them I watched them continuously none stop but yes of course I would definitely prefer seeing JMJ live but this way you can have best of both worlds seeing him live, a DVD of the concert and the extras.

I understand Sharpblue's point, but I don't completely agree with it. The atmosphere at Gdansk was great, for example! You can feel it through your TV! But indeed, the tracks become less and less original and creative, mostly just live aero-versions. I hope that will change from now off. But it's no reason to refuse watching Gdansk and Beijing. Take for example the Shipyard Ouverture. It's great he plays that track again, isn't it?

Maybe it's my age and the fact I know JMJ not as long as you do, but every concert satisfies me, again and again!

Like Jarp said, the concert's atmosphere translated perfectly on the dvd. I do think the Beijing concert was less exciting to watch, not much was going on on stage.

Anyway Miss Moon wasn't in the 12DOTS program, so we will hear it for the first time now for the bigger JMJ outdoor concerts.
