I remember a TV show back in 1997 when JMJ explained the title (instead of the more obvious Oxygène 2). Beside indicating the opening and ending tracks, numbers 7 and 13 have opposite "meanings", 7 being positive (good luck) and 13 being negative (bad luck). Of course it depends on your cultural background and whether you are superstitious, but you get the idea. Jarre thought it was funny to juxtapose those two "opposite" numbers.

The files seem to be sorted alphabetically on filename. Somewhere I suspect Coachella Opening was called different, probably something starting with an S. But Souvenir of China should come earlier in the list too.

That's a suspicious location indeed. Curious what the original title was.

We were talking about Coachella Opening...

Listening to the 5.1 tracks now. I've downsized the files to a working DVD which I can play in my 5.1 set.
Switched on Leon works very well in 5.1.
Equinoxe 2 too. Coachella Opening sounds very wide, has that circling sequencer, that goes around during the song. The effects in Zoolookologie comes from every direction, quite funny.
Equinoxe 5 is weird, but that might be my setup.

Equinoxe 5 is weird. The stereo mix - probably mixed down from surround - has a ridiculously wide main lead.

That is not correct. It is because it's a demo excerpt wich is not published in 1983.

That's not quite correct - because the copyright protection is in most countries granted automatically 50 or 70 years (after the author's death) from publication: https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_c ... ht_lengths .

'Music for Supermarkets' was published in 1983 and the corresponding demo now in 2018.

In the last 5 years there were some short (few days/weeks) releases (iTunes, YouTube, Streaming) of yet unpublished early 1960's recordings from The Beatles or The Rolling Stones to secure only the copyright (otherwise the recording would pass into the public domain).
