I finally received the box set and I'm discovering a beautiful object.

I won't go over the quality of the CDs, among other things (identical to the streaming version).
However, I find the (non-4K) image on the Blu-ray to be of high quality, nothing to complain about. The LPCM mix is ​​of identical quality to the CD mix.
However, in the two multichannel mixes, I personally find a major flaw that spoils everything: an obvious drop in volume and a loss of sonic openness from 19 minutes 30 seconds to the end.
It's sad. What's the point of artificially creating multichannel mixes only to ruin them?

The book is nice, with beautiful images and audience captures.

Tomorrow I'll discover vinyl. Finally, something new for my ears.

I used it as a reference after capturing my own vinyl.

I also hear a sound on my vinyl that I can't define, repeated four times, which isn't on the stream. Very strange. Between 16:03 and 16:10 from the beginning of the track.

Otherwise, I found Part 2 less inspired, with more collages, a bit breathless, but it's still there.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have the identity or presence of WFC.

Finally listened to the Bridge from to future song. For me it sounds like a mashup of WfC, Amazonia and some of Eon. Its an interesting track

Spot on description. I like it too, but it's not as refined or as deliberate as WFC which remains sublime over 35 years on. Waiting for the Bratislava concert to begin, I recall it being more cosmic, more spacey but perhaps my mind was playing tricks. Now I've heard the official release, I realise it's more earthy and more watery, containing as it does a lot of Amazônia tones and textures. I'm glad it's been given a proper release.

The album entered at the 31st place on the Hungarian chart.

Bridge from the future reminds me also a little bit of the B&O track

Forever so happy that I managed to snag that CD, it's nothing amazing, but the atmosphere is pretty nice.

With regards to the official release cutting all the concert speeches, I recall now that JMJ's opening speech included a concert dedication:

"I would like to dedicate this concert to the great and forever young Earthling, Jane Goodall who will be leading this Starmus edition"

If this dedication was sincere, and I have no reason to believe it wasn't, why does it not appear on the packaging? If you need to cut the speeches from the audio for reasons of space, or because of streaming requirements, fine. But do try to find space within the artwork to reflect that dedication.

(Somebody is going to tell me now it is in the artwork, I've just not looked properly...)

Jean-Michel Jarre, arguably one of the founding fathers of electronica, released Live in Bratislava (Sony Music). Performed in May 2024 at one of Bratislava’s main bridges, the scale of the concert production was vast, and the ambition of the music likewise. Opening up with a huge synth brass fanfare chord work, it then swerved into a selection of epic tunes from Oxygene, his 1976 classic album. The 1979 follow-up Equinox also featured. Brian May contributes throughout, providing epic guitar textures including on an ambitious interpretation of Antonin Dvorak’s New World Symphony.
