there's another "La Cage" here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JEAN-MICHEL-JARRE ... dZViewItem

I wonder if there were really only 17 sold... or was it 117? If it was only 17, I have seen more sold on eBay for sure

Maybe it's the same 17 copies being sold (passed around from one buyer to the next..kinda like that movie "The Red Violin"), ha! ha!

17 sounds unrealistic (but what do I know). I thought I read somewhere it was in the low 100's. So 117 may be correct??? How can we verify this?

I've never heard 17, 117 is, I think, the correct number, I don't think there are only 17 albums if we see dozen on eBay !

The general consensus is 117 but don't forget that there's supposed to be a bootleg version as well (watch out for the shiney laser copied sleeve).

Hmmm.... Perhaps it's time for a fuller investigation as to whether it really exists. Several databases have it listed but none of them have a picture of it and without further evidence the existence of this item has to be called into doubt.

Why not to make a thread in which each owner of La Cage write the number of his/her LP ?
To know the exact number :P

hmm.... not that bad idea... but the "La Cage" records don't have consecutive numbers....

But yes, let's make the "La Cage" gallery with each owner holding his piece (the record, I meant... silly....)

I agree! Mine should be in the mail to me shortly!

I think this actually belongs in the "Albums & Other Releases" thread of this forum?
