And by "journey" I mean that a lot of his albums can pretty much be played from the beginning to the end and they could sound like one continuous track (ignoring the Side A/B pause thing on the older albums).
I agree with everything you said my friend except... for me RendezVous does take me on a journey for sure. In fact (I mentioned this before) I was out jogging late one night and during RendezVous 2 or 3 (on my ipod) I saw a rocket re-enter the earth atmosphere and it was amazing! They shoot them off from Vandenburg Airforce base. All those 'um' satellite rockets... So yeah RendezVous has that journey-like feeling... at the very least it feels consistent throughout and he includes those transitions from one song to the next to help with that...

What I don't understand is that with Aero I thought the new songs were really great but now I wonder if they were just left over ideas or something because things definitely went in another direction!

You've got the extended quote version in french down here, sorry :
On met du temps à assumer qui on est. (...)
Il y a un moment donné où on est en phase avec soi-même et avec le public, et on pense que c'est le hasard si le public accroche (dans mon cas, dès mon premier disque, "Oxygène").
Je pense que n'importe quel artiste est "bon" dans un seul domaine, ce qui signifie qu'il "peut" faire UNE chose, plus ou moins bien.

He says an artists must have to dig the reasons he met success and his own inspiration. Clever enough, I'm using this quote thirty years from the release of "Oxygène".

Oxygene 3D sounds cool! But What the hell stands the term 3D? Sound in 3D or the albumcover in 3D (A 3D worldskull?)...
