Mr Jarre is doing his best. Let's be grateful he is still in the limelight. I personally was very impressed with "GONE" Installation. That was new!! He is human at the end of the day. When he is good and ready he will do what he has to do.

You was there. Let us now know about the news (future projects , new albums etc.)
Yes, I was there. Nothing really new apart from an album that would be similar to Zoolook. Maybe, DVD concert, maybe future concerts, nothing on Perth etc. I had a French Jean Michel fan friend to help me with my French. I am sorry I did not go as a fan for news but just to be by him. But I would have just have gone for the "GONE." That is new news.

Hi Kanta !

Please tell us about your experience. Did you talked personally to him ?
Yes, I spoke to him. I have sent you an email.

Hi Robi,
could you please give sources for your quotes? That would make it much easier to evaluate the quotes. Where did this come from?

Speaking to reporters about 'GONE', Jean Michel Jarre said:
"Yes, this is a new piece for me. In fact, it wouldn't have been possible without the help of my artistic collaborator who produced the entire song. I named it 'GONE' because musically, I feel as if I've completely lost my mind; It's gone. But I hope to have a new Zoolook album called 'ZOOLOOK 8-14' completed by the end of 2015, followed by a USA tour in 2017. See you soon!"
Relax everyone

Still don't get the point of this Gone but nevermind.
Regardless we want to admit or not, jM is kind of lost his creative core. I am not alone with this opinion, other, e.g. Spanish forum also talks about this. If we don't misunderstand, Jarre should have been working on new album since 2008, at least, after Teo & Tea. These days we can hear a Gone, a piece, a so-called piece. In early 2010, a short piece was played in "The Oú Café" or whatever, in which there was a promising and nicely sounding music JM playing. I just wonder he is not going any further introducing a single track. 2010 gone, so as 2011. Apart from Monaco preparation and the tour, I guess he got some time to do something in 2011. Or he hasn't?
I know a musician can often re-playing an unfinished piece, updating the sounds for an album. But it is more than...bad and having sorry he couldn't show up detials or a pice for the album.
Or Statistics Adagio is for the forthcoming album?

The point of "GONE" is on his behalf. He is heavily featured on vocals as well. I wish he would not put himself down. It is enough that certain fans do this for him. We need to give him support.

Looks there's some discussion about JMJs recent output again. A recent trend in the fan community, I think. I've seen some posts on the Spanish forum, which seem to be very negative for some people, as if JMJ has offended them. Luckily, I have put at least one person on ignore, since his main reason on this board is to troll everything JMJ says and does by dissecting his every word and find a contradiction in his actions. Putting him on ignore is probably the best thing I've done here (thank the maker for the ignore option!)
Anyway, I'm not going to white knight JMJ here, I understand the frustration fans have for waiting another year for a new album. An artist is as good as his last output and in this case, that's Teo and Tea which is of course not his best album. Heck, it's not even his album if you want to put it bluntly.
But what is also going on is a number of factors which JMJ also has stated in several interviews in the past:
1. The past few years, there have been some tragic deaths in his family. I know from experience that losting a dad has a huge impact on your day-to-day life. Almost a year later, he lost his mother, who he had a very close bond with. These things can have a huge impact on your creative output, and I am convinced this is the case. Oh, and he got a divorce too.
2. Music business is bad. Money can be found in the hardware, not the software. So it makes sense to put more effort in the audio hardware than composing music. It's a matter of priority.
3. 2009-2011 was a long period of touring. He did compose one song for the tour, that's all. It probably gave him a lot of money.
All these factors combined gives us the reasons that after 5 years, we haven't seen a new album (or to be more cynical: after 12 years still no real JMJ album).
I still think Metamorphoses was some kind of good-bye album and every song after that is a bonus for us; output from a man who made a hobby of his job.

Also, I have the impression the Jarre community just doesn't care anymore.
I posted Kanta's video which contains Music for Supermarkets. People wake up: it contains A PART OF MUSIC FOR SUPERMARKETS! So a good fan would have asked already: how good was the sound quality of this recording? Better than the AM broadcast we have already? If yes, that means there's a good recording still floating around.

I'm sure there is one ! But I wouldn't like it to be released... It's part of the legend.

This was also my first thought when I heard it: How was the audio quality?

Could be interesting to know

Hey guys would we rather have another Teo & Tea or an album we can all say yes its been worth the wait.
Regarding Gone. I said exactly the same to my cousin. Does he have another copy. I can't see them playing a version picked up of a torrent sites or has he actually composed this album again just so he can play it on his speaker system.
What do people think about that.
