Hehehe... I have a VL-1. Got it way back in the 80's, and was actually capable of making some cool sounds, albeit a bit on the thin side. Back then I thought it was cool that Human League used it on the Dare album. The rhythm sounds that TRIO used are classic now, I even got them as ReCycle Rex Files for Reasons Dr. Rex Loop Player.

A really lovely synth. A friend of minne has one of this and he demostrated the rythm of "Da Da Da" to me. very cool. And I tried to play the lead of "Oxygene 4" on this small instrument. Very weird thingy...
