Haha! I thought so. I will probably book a test drive and record all the sounds I hear from before I climb in to when I hand the keys back. Save the audio files as an MP3, make an artwork JPG (probably involving the Renault badge and a picture of the car) and add to my file collection.

These are the “dazzle wrappers” that car manufacturers use to disguise the vehicle before it is officially released. The concept is a bit like camouflage, to break up the outline so it is hard to read the body shapes and lines accurately. All so that rival manufacturers can’t get advance viewing. When in production, it won’t come in such a design although that could be fun :D

Presentation of Renault

at 37:20, I think you can hear Oxygene 4 x Epica. At least, it sounds like a combination of both tracks. In fact, you can hear that track throughout the whole conference in different iterations and edits.
At 18:50 you can see JMJ in the audience, at 27:17 you can hear samples from his sound design.

Thanks to JeromeTV btw for pointing me to this video!

The music itself (Oxygene 4 x Epica) is music for the conference as played as start, mid and end music (and I think it's also used as music for commercials as I noticed in Kanta's video). The two first audio snippets of my post are indeed used for the car.

Renault's new electric Scenic will cost less than £40k - and an electro-pop pioneer has given it a unique sound

Electro-pop music pioneer Jean Michel-Jarre brought a welcome breath of fresh air – and Oxygene - to the launch of the all-electric Renault Scenic family crossover.
