Pierre Schaeffer, who first made music using magnetic tape, back in 1951, told a student named Jean-Michel Jarre : Don't be afraid of the unexpected, mix the sound of the washing machine with the trombone. Among other things, this washing machine comes to mind from Jarre’s new album Oxymore , on which we can hear, among other things, noisy and rock-hard electropop reminiscent of the nineties, the trombone maybe playing when the imaginary machine is spinning.
