The second one is written by Stefan from syndae.de, who broadcasted Oxygene 15 and 19 during one of his podcasts; I spoke to him briefly and he was quite surprised that he actually did a "world exclusive" (at least as far as this community is concerned) broadcast. He played parts 15 and 19 (half of each track due to licensing agreements) as he considers part 17 to be one of the weaker tracks of the album (which confirms Elf's opinion that part 17 is the "odd one out" on the album).

Well if 17 is considered one of the weaker tracks, this sounds like it could be one superb album

That's one way looking at it, but it all depends on what you are after - if you are after "melodic JMJ" (like me) then you'll likely consider O17 a "stronger" track of the bunch.

He also says that 17 is the most "Oxygene-like"...so what the h*** will the other once sound like really?
In my head that's leaning towards more of the bland-ambient goo. Only time will tell I guess.

Is it just me or has the publicity for the album been quite low key?
I suppose it's been released so soon after Electronica so anyone who bought those albums and/or went the concerts will know about Oxygene 3 and buy it, but I think maybe the tour is getting in the way of Jarre doing more publicity for the album?
Anyway, hopefully the publicity machine will start in earnest from Friday and into next week.
I would be interested to know if Jarre has many TV appearances lined up, especially in the UK??

Going by the way he talks and thinks, in all his interviews, I would say that's a good description.
He did says this after all: "The worst thing in any form of art is to be betrayed by your own habits."

Unless you are deeply inwardly spiritually advanced you can never make a such comment about any person.
If you were adavanced you would never make such a comment in the first place.
It is clear you (along with millions i would say) hadn't noticed JmJs inward advancement maturity is subtly present in Oxygene, Equinoxe.
JmJ's mature humaneness towards every person world cultures in Zoolook, Revolutions, all his concerts.
With regard to personal relationships, marriages, children, this is life long learning.
Every person ever lived including saints are always learning with regard to relationships.

JmJ is a special spirit.
Introspective nature Oxygene III i hope we hear more similar future releases.
