APPLE iPAD!!

Got to be breaking news.
Apperantly Steve Jobs did his job today with some kind of release, so some clips should be out there tomorrow...
http://www.apple.com/ipad/

This I like. Not that surprising evolvement, cos as soon you've tested one of those mobile phone touch screens ones fingers urges for something larger to poke on.
So what's more intuitive then the A4 format?
With the price ideas in mind (around 499-825 $$) it looks very tempting I think.
But one will have to wait until May or June for the international prices.
It'll be launched in April with a docking station which also is going to serve as a keyboard for the device.
"The news paper of tomorrow." Why not? :robertdugenou:

What? You have the whole internet in your hands. You can change your desk top to whatever you like and "it just works".
No...not anything like those crappy PC's and you're not satisfied you ungrateful little...??
Even worse - I can't see any hdmi port on it. No full HD resolution screen?
Why are they always trying to kill the "fun factor"? :pwned:
I think I'll just wait for the HP Slate. :P

I hope Alex has kept all the receipts from the wedding gifts from Argos. He has 28 days to return them, about the same length of time this marriage will last. Does Jordan come with a 12 month warranty. I mean any exercise bike does. The sales of goods act, 1978. states that you have 12 months to return a faulty item.

Alex on phone - "Trading Standards? . . . . ah, yes, I have a faulty product . . . . . she wont keep her bleeding gob shut"

I prefer the Queen over Charles. He will be King, soon. :x
What about Princess Di's boys? :P
Without the influence of their mum, it is hopeless. I like Ginger somewhat but William is silly going out with a girl who does nothing. If he marries Waity Katie she will be Queen one day. Princess Diana was a very hard worker with all her charities and visiting sick children/people. When she was engaged to Charles she still carried on working in a kindergarten school as a teacher, the last few weeks before she got married. :fine:

A tragedy indeed, but I wonder why they haven't done anything to prevent this kind of disasters. I thought Automatic Train Control (ATC) was a standard in Europe. That kind of accidents stopped here in Denmark around the mid 90's after that system was fully integrated. It would simply make a train stop, if it passes a red stop light.

Terrible accident, and something which, in theory, should not happen in this day and age. As Jakob pointed out, thought these trains were fitted with devices to stop them automatcially if they run a red light.

The software that runs the safety system can crash, the hardware can break, so accidents can happen anyway.

It appears that one of the trains wasn't fitted with that modern safety system, which is the reason why it could happen.

[quote = "Jakob BC"] Het lijkt erop dat een van de treinen die niet was uitgerust met een veiligheidssysteem dat de moderne, dat is de reden waarom het zou kunnen gebeuren. [/ quote] In Belgium we have approx. 1100 trains. Only 25 trains are fitted with ATC......  THIS IS BELGIUM !!!!!!!
