I saw
Star Trek over the weekend. Mostly liked it -the first 10 minutes were RIVETING
-but a few things bugged me, like how the bridge of the Enterprise looks like an Apple store (
iEnterprise, anyone?), and how the engineering deck of ANY starship looked like a water treatment plant.... But the SFX were awesome, the score was great, and the casting was spot-on; the actors made these characters their own without slavishly imitating the original cast. Definitely would pay to see this again.

Agreed. I've never been a ST fan, so my friend couldn't believe I was coming along to the cinema. But I'll never regret doing so.

Yeah I suppose it should be easy to get into the new Star Trek movie without knowing much about the ST world. Anyway Im a Star Wars dude, so...

I am not a ST fan, but the trailor to the new ST film has me interested in seeing it.

Almost went to see Land Of The Lost, but the reviews were so bad I'll keep my $10 for something more worthwhile. Might see Up or Star Trek again next weekend.

O my god they still keep mixing the history 
And I find nothing new in 3D animations like the ones Pixar and Dreamworks make.
The last well-made film was Wall-E and that was all.

Saw Coco Avant Chanel last night.
A very interesting and enjoyable French film. I was literally totally focused from scene to scene. Brilliant acting by Audrey Tautou who acted her part most convincingly. There were many sad scenes that did not compensate the happy scenes. The film portrayed an in depth look at the life of Coco Chanel before she became the world famous fashion designer. Based mostly on her life in poverty and how she strive from rags to riches. My only one small disappointment was that the final scenes were rushed once her English lover died who was called Boy and then rushed to the scenes of her very first fashion collection. Some parts are missing cause when Boy died she was making hats. I suppose the reason behind this they were on a budget and if filming more scenes, would have also lengthen the film through time and money Having mentioned that, I would 100% recommend this movie for the hardcore fan of Chanel.
I truly believe that Coco Chanel is the only world fashion designer. When she died in 1971, no-one could have replaced her or carried on her work as she had wanted to.
