He stated that What You Want sounded nothing like Jarre's work and I can't blame him. That track as a single was terrible and it's by far one the worst on the two, if not the worst.

Which is expected when Jarre tries to emulate the style of other artists...

Ironically though, "What you want" contains a direct quote from previous Jarre's work.

And I still would take it over "Rely on me" any day.

"This broadcast is brought to you by the publisher of Jean-Michel Jarre's new album "Equinoxe Infinity"" - commercial bumper on tvn24, Polish news channel (pardon the quality, I have a vintage TV). I have never seen any JMJ promo here except Electronica tour posters, so that's something.

Awesome result! Almost as good as the first pressing of Equinoxe part 1-8.

Or at least in the high-res download (which is mp3 in this case, but nevertheless) for crying out loud

Jarre got stuck on the 3rd question of the blind test of the France Info indicators...

So far, I have really enjoyed the album. A lot has already been said.

I am still not sure about Movement 6 - Infinity. It is a bit too close to a90s euro dance track. But then again, I like it. But I shouldn't.
But I do... Difficult. I do think it is the signature track because it is so different from the rest.

And nobody noticed yet that Movement 10 - Equinoxe Infinity has a lot of similarities with The Orb's A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That From The Centre Of The Ultraworld.

So it is a great album.
Complaint? Well, with 40minutes, it is a bit short.

It's nice to see JMJ is not going all the way apocalyptic with this new album.
An album needs some optimistic moments to balance everything out and to last in the long run.
I have a feeling Oxygene 3 became a bit too depressing to listen to every day.
