Cosmetically they don't look modified. My bet is that they used another to make the performance easier, so they didn't have to change the slider values while performing, just a guess.

Hmmm...
How many different patterns are used in the whole album with this MP7 ?

I just noticed that the slider positions are identical on the two Minipops so I just give up.

Oxygene 2 and 4 Use the same pattern,Oxygene 6 uses another one,so in essence there is only 2 Patterns used.
One method for having 2 MPs could be to save changing the Pattern selection during the performance He could have used one MP7 For part Oxygene 2/4 and the Other for Part 6!!!without the need to have to manually select the patterns/tempo.
You can trigger the MP7 from a footswitch,so in this case,Jarre could set the MP7's up prior to the performance and not have to detract from playing with your hands to trigger them.
Would make sense to have 2 mp7s for that purpose if he played the album all the way through
Does anyone have any higher res close ups of the MP7's,you'd be able to tell if thats why he needed 2,as they more than likely will have different pattern selections pushed in if thats the case
Just as an afterthought,Jarre took advantage of the ability to depress 2 patterns at once on some tracks, maybe he had one mp7 playing one pattern and the other playing the other one,so they played in combination, but still on seperate machines, again if you listen to the album some sounds are phasered,(Oxygene 2)so he could have had 2 machines synced but outputted to seperate Mixer channels that way he could add the wet phaser signal to certain sounds without affecting the whole Loop

Regarding the MP7 the sliders are set to the same values on both and I think you can also spot which of the white pattern buttons that are pushed.
Anyway I just noticed that it says "Dominique" on the back on one of the mixers, so we could have said from the beginning that Dominique was there

The sliders only alter the volumes of some of the Sounds, they have no effect over the patterns themselves.

I know that, it is just strange that they are completely identical anyway.

For the Marigny Concerts there has been a few changes in the setup. The JP8080 is gone and the following has been added:
Linn LM-1 (Claude Samard)
Oberheim TVS-1A (JMJ)
OSCar (JMJ and Francis Rimbert)
Roland Jupiter-4 (JMJ)
Roland VP-330 (Claude Samard)
Yamaha CS-80 (JMJ)
I have no idea what the Ribbon Controller was connected to. Im starting to think it is connected to the MemoryMoog, as he is using all his patchless synths for other sounds and you don't really see him tweak any of the synths so much that he could just have changed the parametres live (assessed from the DVD).

On the french forum, they say this is a CS60, and for my case I think that the VP330 is used with Claude's vocoder

The Yamaha CS is a CS-80 with no doubt

as there is a very clear difference between these two just by the look. You can see it on its shapings. Only the CS-80 is that big.
Yes Claude's microphone must have been connected to the VP, but what did he use it for?
