He doesn't say anything about the songs. His autobiography has several appendixes:

Playlist of over 100 songs and pieces of music, including some he contributed to (e.g. Stardust, Les mots bleus). He mentioned in an interview that one could listen to the playlist (preferably in the order he set) while reading the book. He even posted the playlist on Spotify (and maybe other platforms) to make things easier. The first 2 songs listed are Ethnicolor and Per un pugno di dollari (Morricone), the last 2 are The Emigrant (by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra & Nic Raine) and David Bowie's Hallo Spaceboy (by Pet Shop Boys).

The book itself is a nice read, the structure of the narrative is original, some passages are very well written. No scoop for the superfan, but some insight into creation in general (don't expect details about his compositions or his albums, that's not the point of the book) and some interesting portraits of people he met. A few errors in it but that's OK. I'll be interested in reading the translation to English whenever it comes out to see how they did it and compare.

I bought a hard copy (in French, obvs) but also a Kindle version and used the inbuilt translate function to read in English. It worked pretty well but it could only translate about 4-5 pages at a time. Hard going. My French is OK but not good enough to pick up the details. The story about his Reeboks melting under the heat from a stage spotlight during PLD rehearsals is funny.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know who was on stage with JMJ at the Azimuth Festival? I'm talking about his "band" members, and also other artists (if any) who might have performed during the festival. I didn't see the program nor photos / footage. Thanks!
