imusic.dk sent out "We expected to be able to deliver the item on 10/7-2020, but unfortunately it has been delayed from the supplier" e-mails. No communication from FNAC though.

Finally some concrete information, courtesy of Glenn Folkvord
I talked to the Nordic distributor today (Naxos). They explained that the delay is due to a production error on the first batch of CDs, and they had to be destroyed. The entire run had to be pressed again. The Naxos guy checked his computer while I talked to him and he saw that their central warehouse in Germany had the new batch in stock today and were packaging them for shipment to retailers "as we speak". (That doesn't necessarily mean all retailers will get enough stocks in time.)
This would explain the "out of stock"/"out of print"/"not available"

- amazon.de (originally 20.07) - "Derzeit nicht verfügbar" ("currently not available")
- jpc.de (originally 20.07) - technically still claims 20.07, but notes that "lieferbar innerhalb einer Woche (soweit verfügbar beim Lieferanten)" ("available within a week (if available from suppliers)")
- amazon.fr - product page returned after being deleted for ≈2 weeks, with "Actuellement indisponible." ("currently not available")
I wonder what will happen on the 24th...
