Yes, just for waiting (not Cousteau but) new album.
But I think the old tracks with new mastering will be interresting.

Tracks only available on vinyl 30+ years ago and only on bootleg are a great addition to JMJ's discography. They don't count as "heard them all before" IMO.
JMJ's other albums are noticable by their absence in record shops - and yes, I know downloads are the nacent way to get music, but more people still browse shops to buy music and I for one would love to see the new boxset catering for the casual buyer and the fan line the record store shelves.
As a fan I would love to see more of the rarities, extended remixes, outtakes and demos etc. released, but that would be in a box set aimed squarely at fans. This set sits between, and is aimed at both the fan and others. I can see a seperate release for the complete 'Deserted Palace' album in the future, either through FDM, or JMJ's own production company. It may depend on how well this release goes.
As for a new album, I would prefer it to be delayed to make sure JMJ is happy with it, and not rush released in the middle of an ongoing tour to placate the market, as was the case with T&T IMO - a 'contractual obligation release' if ever there was one.

I know what you meen, I also hope that Jarre decides to release more rarities, extended remixes (Hey Gagarin please

), etcetc. But considering that it took a good 30+ years for him to release some of these tracks, I doubt we will be seeing much more rare stuff. Hopefully the CD becomes somewhat of a succes inorder to convince Jarre in releasing more rare stuff (like the original Rarities discs), but I'm not keeping my hopes high on more official releases... Exept the entire Deserted Palace maybe, seeing that Les Granges Brulées was also released on CD...
Also I still don´t get whats wrong with Téo and Téa... Sure it wasn't what anyone wanted, but I like it, then again, I just love that kind of music also

I know majority of the rarities for long time, but finally they release in decent quality.
I'm glad for Rarities CD, but only for that.
Finally on CD ; not on bootleg CD.

Then again since when did you bought ANY music?
I'm taking it that you're not a "Jarre Fanatic" then.
Although as soon as there is a new official Jean Michel Jarre album release on its way you just can't resist showing up with your crappy free mp3 leaking bugs whattsever files.
There's a good "T" name for such.

It's a gap filler with the added bonus of these 'rarities' tracks being cleaned up and released 'officially'. It's for anyone in mind, not "FANATICS". Which, incidently, you too are one. Why else do you post? Why else do you have a signature that reads "Jean Michel Jarre Forever!!" if you are not a "FANATIC". Pot calling kettle black springs to mind

There's nothing wrong with being a fanatic...
As long as those people don't protest at non-fanatics...

The local record shop had two copies. One copy left.
