The only thing that make me wonder about if this is a CS60 or CS80 was that JMJ seems to use the Doepfer ribbon controller instead of the synth ribbon controller, and moreover I couldn't see the synth's ribbon controller !!
About the vocoder, I wonder aswell why he used one... but maybe this is not a vocoder, as when they play Oxygène 4, just before beginning, they told alltogether : "un, deux, trois, quatre", and then, baoum, Oxygène 4
Maybe they used a mic to speak together ?

Probably and as Claude is doing some of the arrangement stuff, he use it to communicate. The VP has a stringsection also that he maybe used.
Anyway here is my main argumentation for saying it's a CS-80 and not a 60.
At the first sight you can see it on the cooling units above all the paramteres. It has a horizontal surface on the 80 which is not on the 60. From the concert pictures you can see this horizontal surface.

if that's the case you should be able to compare it to the pictures of the Marigny concerts and see which one it is. And there you go... my point with all this

Seems that gear list on JarreUK was taken from the the program flyer, and there is also no mention of the CS80 there eigther, not even the OSCar.
But there was definitely an CS80 on stage, next to the Eminent 310 and the OSCar on top of the CS80. And I think the Dopfler Ribbon controller is connected to the CS80. replacing the internal ribbon controller from the CS80.

I read that, but the OSCar's and the CS80 are not mentioned in program.
The program lists the Alfacam studio recording setup.

Yes that seems to be right. "Vocoder Plus" = VP-330, the one I had most problems figuring out. I quite like the pics JarreUK have got. I wonder if Duncan has more of those closeup synthpics, but I wasn't able to find a way to contact him directly.
The Linn LM-1 is also missing on the list. They also listed the PS-3200 as 3010, however that is just the keyboardcontroller for the PS synths
Anyway we know what they mean.

Hi guys,
the black box is one of the earliest MIDI/CV converters, and it's called Roland MPU-101.
It makes possible to play up to 4 pre-MIDI devices from a MIDI Keyboard. The ARP, like other oldschool monophonic synthesizers, could be played by a keyboard or a hardware sequencer equipped with CV/Gate outputs.
In this case I suppose the ARP 2500 is connected to the M-Audio Keystation 88es with the Roland MPU-101.

Just like it was suggested before, Claude used the microphone to give instructions, as he was the musical director of the project.
I think the VP330 was just being a sheet music stand for Claude
As for the ribbon - I think it was connected to the Memorymoog, but that's just a guess.
And - why they have 2 minipops on stage? Perhaps one was led trough a Smallstone and the other was kept dry?
