I love the promotional version of Eldorado, I don't know where it's exactly from but I love the fact that's it's quite a bit different from the one on the Images release

I have experencie with both(Well I haven't had a gunshot to the ear, but just shooting a gun without ear protection) and goddamn, I can safely say I will never want to hear something like that guy again... It hurts like hell, I had a annoying noise for two days

I've had to shoot guns without any ear protection.
My ears were ringing for about 5-7 days afterwards.
It was torture being awake that entire week.
Ears hurt and every little noise was like an H-bomb going off....

It definitely damages, no doubt about it.

Gave the new album a listen this morning. Only had it yesterday. It's already gone back onto the shelf.

French equialent of this report mentions "Australie , Roumanie...", interesting Paul Charles is not aware of this. I mean Paul expressed "nothing so far" regarding Australia and America, for 2012, though the French video talks about those territories. Interesting.

My first listening session is done.
Essentials - as expected, loud loud and where is the punch from the drum effects?
They never really kicked in like I'm use to until I played the CD through my Marantz Audyssey dynamic EQ mode with a setting of 10 dB variation.
That's a setting designed specially for heavily compressed sources. Some tracks are fading out a bit too early imho.
I think this CD is merely a sneak peek for people who never heard of JMJ and his music before (how many are those nowadays?) and then have to buy the entire collection.
Rarities - This is why I bought this album. My new found love is Windswept Canyon, really a true masterpiece of its age. Ofcourse Hypnose, Deserted Palace, Black Bird, Music Box Concerto and some others are also fun. I think Vitalic's Erosmachine RMX is a nice climax wrapping the package at the very end, although it's a pity the mixing of La Cage RMX sounds terrible.
Probably not Jean Michel's fault.

Now all we need is another album called "ultra-rarities".

It's more interesting that you think PC would tell you what's being planned or not. No way will PC announce to fans before it's announced by the promotor or Jarre. Besides, it isnt even sure that PC is involved in these foreign sales (which setting up a tour is). He told me they are still working on it, which is probably what JMJ means too. By mentioning these plans they put pressure on local promotors to maybe get their fingers out, and also signalize to new territories that they are interested. It's not like Jarre announces tickets that arent on sale.

I'm just happy I still have my original Deserted Palace LP. I assumed the CD versions of these tracks would be better. I guess not.
