There is no 2, iirc. I noticed I numbered the photos wrong (china_lp_01 was china_lp_02 and china_gala was china_lp_01).

Awsome!!! Very very cool indeed. You can see from up above that this whole setting was build for 3 persons plus leader. Very very impressive.

Yes and for a live performance you need a lot more gear, especially when it comes to a concept like this. The studio back in the Oxygene days was as far as I know, just a small part of the gear you can see on those pics plus a few more that he didn't use for this latest performance.

Juno 60s are realible however are notorious for the battery going out and you lose all of your patches. Other than that, they are supposed to be more reliable than the say Jono 106 that usually has voices go out. As far as modern gear that will become collectible, I agree with Equinoxe's list. You can probably add the Prophet 8 to the list. I haven't tried it, but if it's a more stable version of a Prophet 5 with more bells and whistles, it should hold value for a long time. As far as VA's, many are a dime a dozen. I can't see myslef holding on to my Ion or MS3200 10 years from now. My A6 and Voyager though... I don't see myself parting with those boards. They are like family!

Well most certainly,he has many instruments that don't have memories so having several of the same models means you don't have to repatch everything all the time which can be become rather tedious for Live playing,and if your multitracking in the studio you don't need to have all those instruments,you can see on the actual Sleeve notes of the gear he used which is only a minute fraction of whats needed for this live replication.

Just wonder how much more Vintage gear he has on top of this,certainly theres got to be Synthex and Mellotron M400,in his collection as well.

Wonder if the JP8080 was used as a Tuning reference???its the only digital machine in there..

It would be interesting to see Jarre's whole instrument collection,just how many Digital Instruments does he own as well as the Old Analogs...

A shame he turned his back on this collection for almost a decade..If that lot was sitting in My garage,I wouldn't even look at a Roland Groovebox!!!

I think that Alesis Ion probably will be one of the few VA:s that will be attractive on the second hand market in the future. The Ion together with Nord Modular G2 and Virus TI.
But hey, there might even be a nostalgic thing for Nord Leads and MS2000 that make them hot stuff on the S/H market. "Oh, man this synth sounds sooo 1998. I remember dreaming about a Nord Lead but I couldn't afford it back then... Now 25 years later I finally got one!"

The new Moogs, Andromeda and Prophet 08 are indeed excellent machines.

That was never actually released.

Look at the setup around Jarre, everything there he had in the studio except for the Matri,the Moog, the Theremin and that keyboard behind the Eminent.

The stuff in the back though has alot more stuff he didn't use than he did.

Of course he's also by the looks of it, multiplied his equipment, 4 Eminents and an insane amount of EMS synths.

There is a lot of that stuff he didn't have when he did the Oxygene album according to pictures from about that time. it was first later he got multiple pieces of the same synth for concerts AFAIK. There is no Matrisequencer but the Digisequencer
