hi all

good of JarreUK to come back online and to hear the latest news... no major concerts in 2014 planned....that's ok as I am happy to wait and have more time to save money for next year's possibilities :bravo:

I'm glad also to have the chance to go to the show in Carthage in 2013 as a gap-filller while we wait :}
:peacemaan:

I'm happy to wait. I don't get upset by waiting or delays

it only adds to build up and excitement and expectation :)

And also a bit dangerous as with time it will become harder and harder to fulfill fan's ever growing expectations. ;)
So I'm happy If JMJ is going to release an album before 2020 containing nothing but accordion music (j/k). :peacemaan:

We can now confirm the rumors circulating the net: The new album again postponed, this time until January (third or fourth week) 2015 (in principle, of course, with Josmar never know).
The reasons for this umpteenth are strategic delay by Sony Music. Originally it was going to release a single before summer and then release the album in the last quarter of 2014. However, Sony Music, according to company statistics, have you found that when there is a sporting event in this case the World Cup , sales and media attention regarding new releases fall a lot, which consider that harm the global distribution of the disc, so have decided to delay this launch to January.

bah, this suggests the album is already done and on the shelves waiting to be released. Just release it now already!

the world has become all about money and not about people or artistic expression, and in January they will say it's no good time to release because people just spent all their money on christmas presents...

Agree on this, they (all participants) will come up with new reasons pushing forward the release.

If that is the case, then they could have released it last year and we wouldn't be having this conversation

It is a shame the fans are being strung along for this length of time. Something new, just one downloadable track, would mend some broken ties. This way we would have something truly worth waiting out for instead of hanging on the same month after month delays.
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

Sporting events such as world cup happens every year. I simply can't buy that as an excuse.

huh? I 'm really confused now, because I've heard rumors that this year's football has been delayed because of the release of Max Barry's new novel Lexicon, the release of Dieter Meier's Out of Chaos AND a new Woody Allen film!

Sony, and Jarre for that matter, had the perfect opportunity to release something new this weekend gone during Record Store Day. What a great event it could have been for something new from the proposed album or something unrelated. Wasted opportunity.

Jarre and Co. has been missing a number of opportunities over the recent years, on many level. Yeah, I'm pessimistic. OK. Still.......what has come up since 2007, hm?

Don't worry, though; 2015? Still one year to 40th anniversary of Oxygene. I don't continue.
