This is one of the big gripes I have with Jarre. He has patched things up with Dreyfus Music. How many albums did he release with them?, lots. How many out-takes, mixes, unreleased tracks were done that we do not know about. A large boxset would be my ultimate Jarre item featuring as many as possible tracks from these albums and across those years. If not a boxset, more money could be made from re-releases of albums in expanded form featuring unused tracks, mixes and 12" and alternative versions. Regarding the loudness war, there is a very interesting essay regarding mastering on Kate Bush's official website. Particularly interesting is the section on 'normalizing' in the mastering process.
