what is this Josmar thing?gb wrote:Today we can confirm a new partner in the disk Josmar. Apparently this contributor added a photo to Facebook in December 2013, but this was quickly withdrawn, so it went unnoticed. Pictured Josmar appeared in the study of this musician and corresponded to the first preliminary meeting between the musician and Josmar musical collaboration prior to itself, that is, that day nothing was recorded. The collaboration was recorded, however, throughout these months of 2014.'s Partner in question is none other than the renowned film composer Hans Zimmer.

Aside from Splinter have you been working on any other music?
I’ve written a film score for an animated apocalyptic nightmare of a film called From Inside. I’m also working on a collaboration track with Jean Michel Jarre for a new album he’s putting together.I think all of those to the studio of whom he went are to include them on the Jarre album. And maybe some artists will collaborate on several tracks, like stated by Boris Blank from Yello.melo wrote:From Gary Numan interview:

Welchen Respekt Jarre als großer Pionier elektronischer Popmusik genießt, belegt die Liste an Zuarbeitern für sein kommendes Album. Sie reicht von Portishead und Air über Massive Attack und Yello bis hin zu David Lynch. Bis zur Veröffentlichung aber lohnt es, seine frühen Alben noch einmal zu hören.

International superstar Jean Michel Jarre select the SSL AWS 948 console for ambitious new project
International superstar Jean Michel Jarre has recently added a Solid State Logic AWS 948 in his private study (JMJ Studio) to meet production needs required for their next job.
User equipment attached to the SSL, Jarre has sold over 80 million copies and scores attendance records at their concerts, the composer now sees 948 AWS as a return to their analog roots.
"At first, I had a SSL G-Series that eventually gave way to a controller, console but I was never very happy with the result of the controller," said Jarre. "I decided to return to the noblest form of recording and bought the AWS 948. It's an analog console with great preamps and a platform where I can record and mix through analog processing. Also I have the best workflow for both situations, analog and DAW with this console. The AWS 948 is much more rewarding to work with a controller. "
Jarre is in the process of creating a new project, which he said, "is a rather ambitious double album format," and AWS is the protagonist. "The AWS has made a noticeable difference in sound quality compared to the driver who had been using Pro Tools," says Jarre. "The sound of the AWS was warm and clear. I think many of my songs with synthesizers go directly to the AWS because the sound quality is superior to that of the driver. The console helps me get the sound I'm looking for. "
Beyond the ambitious and anticipated new work, Jarre is involved in several projects, working with friends in their productions has also been impressed with the new equipment in the studio. "The console will be used in a lot of projects in the coming years," concludes Jarre.

Jarre is in the process of creating a new, in his words, “fairly ambitious double album project,” and the AWS is front and center, supporting the creative effort. “The AWS made a noticeable difference in sound quality from the controller I had been using with Pro Tools,” states Jarre. “Putting them side by side, the sound of the AWS was immediately warmer and crystal clear. I create many of my tracks with synthesizers going directly into the AWS and the sound quality was superior to that of the controller. I feel like I am sonically real with the AWS and that it helps me to achieve the sound I am looking for.”
