Cirque Du Soleil's JARROLOGY

After listening to the Symphonic Jarre CD several times I realize that this music is very reminiscent of some of the soundtracks by Cirque Du Soleil. Especially tracks like Chronologie 3, Rendez-Vous, etc.
So I thought, wouldn't it be amazing if Jean Michel Jarre composed music for a special Cirque Du Soleil show. Sort of like a modern day AOR.
I present Cirque Du Soleil's:

At least we can dream. :~D

Sorry I meant to make a new topic here instead of posting in the Symphonic Jarre thread...well I guess it applies.

Oh, GeeJee you would love it since you seem to be a gentleman of good taste!
It is like a live Jarre band mixed with Theater and Circus Performers (but way cooler). Sometimes it reminds me of a film by Jean Pierre Jeunet (The City Of Lost Children) or Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands) in terms of story and costume.
Definitely check out Quidam, O, Mystere and KA.

I'll give it a try - when I have the opportunity

You know he directed the Zoolook videoclip, right?

That's right! Jeunet & Caro. Before Delicatessen and Jeunet's Amelie. Humble..er...beginnings. Those little robots, stop motion puppets are all Marc Caro's designs.

Having recently seen Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba I couldn't agree more. As I said in a recent post, in the offtopic section, the music is very Jarre-ish and the acts wouldn't look out of place in a Jarre concert. I seem to recall JMJ using dancers on stilts during Nuit Electronic who looked a bit like Cirque's style of performer.

Very good idea! Jarre as composer for CdS! And a well known name makes more people come to their shows (But that's not a problem for them, IMO).
I'm gonna dream of that tonight!
