This may be a question for ClubMix, the discography expert but I'll put it out there for anyone who knows:

Is there anything special regarding the Japanese releases of his albums on Polydor. For example I noticed that Jarre has two releases of Zoolook. the one I found for sale was catalog number--Japan, P28P20170, CD

Also are the booklets, sound quality, etc. any different, better, worse or are they worth more to collectors than the German or French releases?

There's no explicit difference, as far as I know, not qualitywise and not musicalwise. They were just released on the Polydor Japan label, that's all. The packaging IS different, there's Japanese signs all over the place and the booklets etc are different too. Be sure to have one with the original OBI strip attached.

I have the Japanese Rendez-Vous myself, a pretty cool collectible, although that's just for collecting purposes and not to be played / listened to anyway.

Now I know that the Japanese have been issuing VANGELIS CDs in their original mini-LP sleeves.

Do you think there will be a re-releaseof JARRE CDs in the original Mini-LP sleeve (much like the special 2000 release of Oxygene)???

Who knows... I do know the Vangelis albums were quite succesfull in Japan, I don't know whether the JMJ albums were too...
