So... we have JMJ speak in both the english and the french languages. Mostly english when he perform outside France. Why did he speak french at a concert like the Akropolis in Athen?

Because he is french

And french is one of the most spoken language in Europe, for example, during the Eurovision, they were speaking English and French

Yes yes, I could answer that myself

It is just because he speaks english during many other concerts, if he is not trying to speak the local language

Maybe but not Greece

I think he spoke in the french language on the EiC Barcelona concert as well. As far as I know, they don't speak english or french in Barcelona. Maybe China 2004 also.

He spoke french in Athens because it was broadcasted live on a french TV channel

And not just a channel, but M6, in which he was quite involved in deed.

JarreUK wrote: In the Autumn of 2000, UNESCO Ambassador, President of ELPIDA (Association of Friends of Children with Cancer), and personal friend of Jean Michel's, Marianna Vardinoyannis, invited Jean Michel to perform in Athens, with the Odeion of Herodus Atticus Amphitheater (which is situated beneath the world-famous Acropolis) being chosen as the location for the concerts. The concerts were to be held in aid of the ELPIDA Charity, with the proceeds from the ticket sales going to the construction of a new Hospital specially for children with Cancer.
Anyway, GJ's explanation sounds pretty reasonable.

Well, that was actually in the documentaries where he spoke English or French, depending on what language you selected in the opening of the DVD.
