Synthesist wrote:Homework is also full of monotonous tracks, but they are great. 'Alive' is one of my favourite tracks of that album. Human After All was recorded on 3 months. The disc is black, and there are only a few imgaes inside the sleeve. I don't think that album was meant to be a big hit album. This albums still has some great tracks. 'Human After All', 'Robot Rock', 'Primetime Of Your Life', 'Emotion' and 'Make Love'.
Human After All should be remixed and released like the Human League's "Love And Dancing" or Soulwax's "Nite Versions". I've worked on getting HAA remixes together, and I might do a remix album myself.

Have heard their "Discovery" album several times. It's OK.

Just been sending the news to pretty much everyone I know. Out of nowhere and I'm really sad now, no final album, not even a single final track. Just... Just like that :(

I've been listening to Random Access Memories a lot this past week, after Instant Crush came thru my headphones when I played my song library on shuffle. Forgotten what a brilliant and moving track that was with Julian Casablancas and how cool the whole album still is. They will be missed. A lot.

Thankfully their last album is really good overall, I do think RAM is absolutely bloody amazing, but there are a few duds in there. But Giorgio by Moroder is god tier and arguably their best track. Shame that if TRON³ does happen, they won't be around to do the soundtrack again. That was without a doubt the best thing of that film besides the amazing visuals. The work they did along with Joseph Trapanese was bloody brilliant!

Derezzed is Brilliant.

Give Life Back to Music is lush.

Get Lucky was my summer of 13 soundtrack

Giorgio by Moroder was what DP were brilliant at. Taking just one basic simple motif then making a whole track from it.

DP were a brilliant example of no need to reinvent the wheel : just take favourite influences mash em up.

JMJ said in reaction that he'd be thrilled to work with either of them (Guy Manuel de Homen-Christo and Thomas Bangalter).

For Jean-Michel Jarre, Daft Punk is “a global artistic object”
