I am not aware that there will be a separate soundtrack release at all. Only some Jarre tracks (played during Gdansk concert) are used for the musical background....

correct me if I'm wrong, though

Yes, it seems that this album release was cancelled. Last year there was a message on JarreUK: "The Film's Soundtrack will be released in September 2006...WATCH THIS SPACE!!!". Or it was a mistake and the real date is September 2007... :?

Why call it a Jarre movie?
Only some songs of JMJ where played (can't confirm this one personally), but he neither produced, directed nor played in it.

Then Palawan should also be called a Jarre movie. :hypocrit:

It's not a Jarre movie. But JMJ was involved in picking the tracks for the soundtrack (excisting music though) - he had contact with the director of the film, Volker Schlondorf (or sth like that)

Ok, thanks for clearing that out!
IMDB didn't mention anything regarding JMJ for the movie, so therefor my doubts.

Now I know the reviews of the movie were lukewarm at best but one thing they did single out was the music from Jarre and they said that it stuck out like a sore thumb and doesn't fit at all with this historical drama.

I think Jarre could have done something much better and made a proper Soundtrack with an orchestra, etc. but maybe he was too busy planning his showcases and presets on the MC808...JUST KIDDING! :punch:
