Jarre Live booklet

Oookay, I've heard the "you know, Jarre Live is a better Docklands release because it has a excellent booklet" routine for a few years now.

I guess it's because it has a lot of pictures that were absent from the 1997 release, or does it? Why exactly is it better? Like, how many pages is it compared to the very few the remaster has?

And on that note, is this booklet available only on the original CD release or can it be found from the early 1990s remasters? I think you can actually get some of those factory sealed, so it would be helpful to know.

DD has 6 pages, LIve has 22, with some nice artwork and pictures. Excluding front/back that is. Worthwhile to get, imho. Afaik, all Live issues are the same. The '91 remaster has the same booklet.

I agree with GeeJee 100%. I have always thought DD blows! Live is the keeper for me! Actually it's the best Jarre CD booklet. I used to thumb through that thing all the time when I was listening to the music. Never understood why they changed it and confused the whole or why they just didn't call it DD to begin with.

P.S. Would have loved to have seen the Paris La Defense CD + Booklet Polydor were planning until they replaced it with Images... :sigh:

Thanks for the infos.

Yet this "new" Jarre Live I've found seems to be a 1994 release... I guess it could be tricky since 1994 was 5 years from 1989 and just 3 years to 1997. :P

Not to mention that its catalogue number appears to be FDM36149-2 which is only shared by Destination Docklands 1996 re-releases, "Musical Voyage For My Swiss Friends" and some Japanese release with no photos on Jarre.ch. Yet its UPC number 764911614922 seems to bring up Jarre Live on most cases...

Not exactly looking for Jarre Live, I'm buying other items from this seller and noticed there's also unopened Jarre Live and thought I might as well get that too from him. Dunno now. :P

If it says Jarre Live, it has that booklet. And otherwise I'll have my nipples amputated. :pwned:
