Plus they have been streaming the whole album Senior for free on a special site linked with their news letters right about its suggested release date. ;)

A video made by a RXP fan for the Senior CD's wacky bonus track.
It actually has got a titel and is listed as track 10 on the japanese import of Senior.

As promissed the full short movie Senior Living can now be seen here:

Not that different from 'The Drug' video. A few more scenes with tunes from all the Senior album tracks. 8)

My no. 1 favourite track from the Senior album I think is 'The Fear'.
It has many different layers yet rewarded with some pretty catchy characters.
Otherwise I have now switched CD in my car. I need a break from this album for a while.
After too much sound digging from Senior, it can pull you down in a slightly depressive mood.
Junior feels almost "main stream" these days. :P

Track of the month November/December became one single track as they desided to keep the November track for themselfs and for a future project.
However the December track is a well known old fasion christmas song pimped up in the best electronique ways possible, or as the Röyksoppers Torbjörn and Svein themselfs presents it:
royksopp.com wrote:"This time around, on the receiving end of our special treatment we find an instrumental ‘harp only’ version of a well known Christmas song; the very old-school Le Cantique de Noël. We went to a strange place with this one, fusing drums, choir and SFX together to create a version that perhaps is a bit like what a person in the early 1970′s could imagine Christmas music would sound like in the future. The future, like in 2010."
So Le Cantique de Noël goes RYXP and what a tru sweetheart of a remake it is. :listen:

Röyksopp - Running To The Sea feat. Susanne Sundfør

An interview with Svein and Torbjorn tonight at "Skavlan" on swedish TV 1. :balloon:

http://www.svt.se/skavlan/hela-intervjun-med-royksopp

http://www.svt.se/wd?widgetId=23991&sec ... position=0

Edit: I've been trying to translate from norwegian as far as I can understand it.

Fantastic to have you here for the first time. I saw your preparations earlier today and you actually brought laser with you. Is that because you're going to play for us?
(Svein) - Yes.

Very retro. It's been a long time since we saw laser...
- Well maybe that has something to do with your age then. (smile)
You said so just to provoke...

To me laser is serious stuff.
- It's a little bit 70´s retro, yes, such as with The Who and all that.
But I think for a person who is 15 yo today it's "Swedish House Maffia" or something similar that "is laser".

And you...
- ...and we. So we are somewhere in between prog rock and Swedish House Maffia.

Within the genre "electronic music" you're actually veterans.
(Torbjorn) - Yes you can say that. We have done this for quite some time now.
I thought about this backstage earlier if we're going to talk about when we first started. That's really a long time ago.
Just to pick a number, 1990 is closer to Apollo and the moon landing then the time from 1990 until "today". So it puts some perspective on the wholeness.

How old were you when you first started?
- We started to make some music more seriously when we were around about 12 yo by the means we could bring some musical instruments sort of speak.

It was electronic allready then?
- Yes. Sort of drum machines and synthesizers.
(Svein) - I'd just like to add, at that point in time when we were just kids about 11-12 yo
and we met people having these synths we were much more dogmatic and strict about the fact that is has to be "synth!" Not drums or guitars.
We have become more allround with age and nowadays we have got more genuine drums.

How has the technological development been for you?
(Torbjorn) - That's very interesting. The technology has changed completely until today.
The knowledge to store music have become so much more publicly open and available.
If you go back to the pioneers in the 70's, Kraftwerk as for example. Their methods remained as professional secrets. But today insted of having a secret method many artists writes a software with their method and shares it. I'm sure that everybody sitting here has got the computing power, perhaps in their own cellphone to go on google or any other search engine and search how to download music softwares and without very much effort download it. You can find a manual on You Tube and within 15 minutes you can make at least very standard dance music.

So the problem is everybody can do all that?
- Yes, well you'll need "a little". You'll need a cellphone and a little computing power and some speakers or some good head phones.
(Svein) - That's what's so interesting that it becomes very similar all together. Everybody uses the same instruments all the way.
So it becomes a challenge to find a singularity. Something that is unique with the music you're making.

You have started to work with Susanne Sundfor, a fantastic singer.

- That's correct. We have had singers, independent artists in particular under our umbrella. The reason is that we all know where we are coming from (has got things in common (+ some words I couldn't quite make out ;)).

Junior is one of the greatest electronic albums of the 2000s, I really like it a lot.

However, in my view Senior is one of the best ambient albums ever. Or at least out of those I've ever heard (which admittedly is mostly limited to Tangerine Dream).

Whether that makes Senior the better album in my view, well, I wouldn't go that far. I've noticed a tendency for "older" electronic music fans to prefer it, though.

I heard bits and snippets of them before, but now I'm so getting their Melody A.M. album. If it's as good as Moon Safari, I'm in for a nice trip :)
