I had eTrust once, but it didn't seem to work at all on my computer. Never running tests that I could see and such so I closed it down.

Microsoft AntiSpyware has worked pretty well.
I have had Trend Micro's Pc-cillin free ware for a while and now when I bought it, it doesn't work anymore. The computer freezes when I try to start it, so maybe you are not supposed to buy these things?

Well, I'm trying out the F-Secure Antivirus 2006. Got a 6 months for free deal, and it seems to work fine.

I use avast! 4 Home Edition. It's very good, it's awarded on a regular basis and best of all, it's free for personal use.
And I haven't had a real virus attack since 2000, so that speaks for itself.

Better to stay away from the Big Boys : McAfee, Norton.
They are pretty bloated, over "hyped", and can slow down a pc by upto 10%-15%.
