Was it ever released officially in any form (not counting the Chronologie album, of course)?

Since I magically found three Une Alarme Que Swinge files of reasonable quality from a backup CD and I wonder if they're the originals or covers (quite muffled for covers in that case).

Soo anyone know

As I understand it, apart from the Swatch Musicall which used it as an alarm, there was no official release. However, Une Alarme Qui Swinge has found it's way onto several bootlegs including a red vinyl 7" and a CD released (i think) by the Belgium fanclub that also contained Music for Supermarkets.

The releases mentioned by Phil J. are the only ones I know about.

Yes, that's true! It was released on a orange bootleg 7" and on that "Music For Supermarkets" bootleg CD as extra track by the Belgian fanclub...

Greetzzz...

Hmm, according to Jarre.ch the red bootleg has just 2 tracks and the other one's supposed to be Eldorado and I've got three tracks right here. And the Reprise track seems to have a guitar at the end, something that sounds like audience noises being muted out and some parts sound like they're being quite sloppily looped.

Oh well, listen to them yourself

1 - Countdown
2 - Une Alarme Que Swinge
3 - Une Alarme Que Swinge (Reprise)

Sounds like the Swatch the World concert held in Zermatt, Switzerland. This never had an official release. The tracks you have are almost certainly taken from fan recordings. The Belgium fan club CD has these three tracks though the first one is called Something in Time (Countdown).

Ah, just as I suspected... interestingly the sound quality of those tracks is still superior to the other Swatch the World recording that hangs around the Internet but that recording lacks all the other tracks (unless they weren't played at the first gig which I also somewhat remember) :\

Thanks anyway

The only official source that I know is a promotional video released by Swatch in 1992 about the Swatch The Word Event. This video is not only about Jarre´s shows but most of the 30mins are about him. The video ends with the complete song from the show (I don´t remember which part).

I think that Reprise version w/ guitar is terribly neat. 8)

I think most of them are ugly. The only one that looks nice is the Tokyo 1964 one...

That's the most limited of them all.

The blue one with the sun and fish motifs is nice. I have that one.
