Just came across this footage that I've never seen before. It appears to be in 12 parts. The sound is a bit muffled, but video is good.

Like a pro-amatuer video shoot of this concert, a WHOLE LOAD BETTER than Mansfields attempt. The audio is muffled a bit, but sounds better than the video/TV version.

Anyway, that's my view. And I was at that concert too and rather enjoyed it, shame can't be said be said of JMJ who look thoroughly pissed of at times.

Just to be clear: I didn't post this on youtube. And the reason those things are hard to come by is, I think, a very practical reason: most of these old recordings, if not all, are all on VHS. And as we know, VHS is a bit outdated (the moment DVD was released, actually), most of those tapes are somewhere in a box upstairs in someone's house usually.

I did digitize a lot of vhs recordings over the years (all TV-recordings and such), which is a very, very time-consuming process. If I find a (working) VHS recorder, I'll try to digitize this recording too, but I can't say when that'll be.

Just to be clear, I didn't upload it either So we have to thank that youtube user. if you check his other vids, then you'll find a few tracks from the Versailles concert filmed by a different camera. Quite rare too I'd say.

I understand, but a lot of rare footage is posted on youtube in a really compressed quality, so someone must've digitized it, that's why I asked. Another problem is -master tapes, I think we often get to see a copy recording in degraded quality with bad sound or blurry picture, instead of the original one. If only all of the tapers could transfer everything into proper dvds...

I've got to admit, this is one of the best JMJ audience video recordings I've ever seen. Hoping to be able to download it in better-than-YouTube quality someday!

Then again, my greatest wish would be to find an uncut video recording of Paris La Defense. Even though they most likely never made an edit with all the tracks intact. So I guess I'd have to find all the recorded video footage from that night. And to achieve this I'd need to assemble a team of handy, misfit JMJ enthusiast ninjas in order to break into the vaults where this footage is currently located. They might be stored inside the Ark of the Covenant and guarded by 7-feet-tall reptile Übersoldaten, though. Who's with me?

I would like to find all of the audience recordings first, to see it from the spectator point of view. THere's at least several of them...

P.S. Imagine if there's a fan recording of the La Concorde I have some Pink Floyd snippets shot by fans in 1972-1975, so who knows...

La Concorde I wouldn't count on it honestly, surely someone has recorded it, but chances are very small that we'd actually ever get to see it...

Photographs of the Concorde concert are rare already. I still find that strange, since 1 million people attended the concert and no-one thought of bringing a photocamera.

An audience recording of one of the China concerts, that would be the day!
