Missed opportunity... [Aero related]

I think it's a missed opportunity that Jarre didn't make an entire album with songs in the style of Aero, Aerology and Aerozone (and to include these songs of course) instead of that Aero compilation of re-recorded classics. I really like these tunes as much as the old stuff (Oxy, Eq, MF, etc).
An album like that would be definitely much better than Teo & Tea and more modern too.
Thoughts?

Yes, definitely a very great miss opportunity. Really like the "Aero related" tracks. Be very good if an album alone for Aero was based on the idea.
Would this topic not be better suitable to be in the Albums & Other Releases section of the forum?

I think the whole 00s were a decade of missed opportunities. So much music was made, and never released:
- 2001: Vizitors
- music from the movie Qui Veut Devenir Une Star
- limited release of the B&O Interior Music album
- Expirimental 2001 never saw a release
One thing he did do well: the music of the Bourges concert saw a release.

I'm on the same opinion with Melo and Jones, especially.
I'm really sorry for the ruined Saint-Exupery project. That could have been fab!
Also, a good album could have been done with The Visitors team.
Well, yeah.
Honestly, I am looking forward hearing - seeing Jarre's renessaince beginning with forthcoming album...; so these times.

I don't think one note pas composed for that, it only exists because someone said there will be a Petit Prince project. There was also supposed to be a Dracula project with Adjani.

Actually, it seems there was but no involvement of JMJ as it was in 1979:

Might have been connected to the 2012 Romania concert that never went ahead. In 2011 JMJ hinted in Traxx magazine that the new album might be 'gothic'.

It's always a problem if an artists talks in the run-up of a planned project which in the end won't be realized... that creates disappointments...

Sure, I think that would be just human nature, not just for artists. Not all ideas for all of us would be 100% guaranteed.

Almost 10 years have passed since the moment AERO was about to be released and someone posted a link to something called Aerology.mp3 on the Jarre.net forums. I listened to it a few times and wondered "this can't be real JMJ, can it?".
I've mentioned my dislike for that track many times before, but these days... well, it's better than LCM5.
Not on the top of my playlist, but compared to what came after it has its certain charm. Aerozone never really
hit me, seemed more like Sessions 2000 jamming. Not that bad though. Aero itself is a very good retake on Je Me Souviens and ranks pretty high on my "best Jarre tracks since 1997" list.
There are way too many lost Jarre opportunities to count, and an album in the style of original Aero tracks wouldn't rank that high on my list, tbh. :]
