Found these on youtube...its the same Radio Broadcast of the China Concerts, but is this sound quality unique? Sounds a whole lot better than my crappy tape recording!

Awesome! The fact that these things can still be found decades later just makes one wonder even more what kind of JMJ gems truly are hidden in all sorts of radio/TV archives.

That said, a question for French speakers, are the DJs talking about their own thing or are they also reading out translations of what the Chinese announcers in the background are saying?

Wow, what a find. You can clearly hear that the strings start the verse waaaay too late (entire repetition) with regards to the rest of the arrangement (esp. the sequence)
