Can't someone for fun make a cover into Jarre-style of the song Voulez-Vous by ABBA? Is that possible without thinking about the rights of the composers???

Shouldn't be a problem as long as it won't be published officially. Thing is, I don't know that song and I don't have time... :P

Probably quite hard to make that song Jarre-esque.

Get Erasure's fully electronic version of that song instead.

It's a bit off an odd request.

To even start being 'Jarresque' means to lack words (except for Metamorphoses and Revolution, Revolutions). So that means you want to take out the singing? One of the most important parts of Voulez-vous surely?

But then try to define Jarresque: Oxygene? Zoolook? Revolutions? Waiting For Cousteau? Interior Music?

A very odd request indeed?

Perhaps someone could do a mash-up MTV stylee?

I've had a think about this and Oxygene 10 might work...?

I was first thinking about what ABBA-song is mostly like Jarre not the other way around...but hey, I know it is an odd request! I am only interesting in what a blend would sound like...

The main Rendev II motif, changing the rhythm & legthening some notes will easily fit with Voulez Vous.

In fact this could be done with almost all main melodies of JMJ.
Change the melody rhythm to fit, shorten/lengthen some notes.

Voulez vous my sky?? :)

I've played them at the same time on two different media players.
I had to speed up Abba 1.05x as the beats in Light My Sky runs slightly faster. Sounds very bizzarre, I know...but an uggly idea of where you maybe could begin.
