Oh yeah, really liking it!

The very beginning did remind me of some sped up "Requiem for a dream - Lux Aeterna" remix I heard years ago, but this one's definitely something else. ;)

Oh yes! Finally! Discovery 1994 concert will be released on DVD and 2CDs!

Pet Shop Boys announce the release on DVD and 2-CD of their “Discovery: Live in Rio 1994” concert, recorded towards the end of their 1994 tour of Singapore, Australia and Latin America. Release date is April 23rd. The DVD and CDs package is available for pre-order from today at the link below.

Previously only available on VHS, this is the first time that fans will be able to experience this classic concert on DVD and listen to the audio on CDs. The show was filmed by Brazilian director Roberto Berliner with a local TV crew in December 1994 in front of a wildly enthusiastic Rio audience on PSB’s first visit to Brazil. A new booklet is packaged with the DVD and CDs, featuring candid on-tour photographs, an interview by Chris Heath conducted during tour rehearsals and an exclusive on-tour diary by Neil Tennant.

“Discovery” was shot in 1994 as standard definition (SD) on tape. To keep the integrity of the original the decision was made to restore and present the concert in its native SD format on DVD, rather than upscaling to HD for Blu-ray.

Still waiting for my Discovery discs, but I can't help but be 50% amused and 50% bemused by this mistake: https://www.petshopboys.co.uk/pet-texts ... -02/amazon

I got it on Friday. I finally got to watch this concert in decent quality. I got a poor VHS rip once, and never bothered to buy the VHS myself. I can't quite remember why. It's a fun concert. Totally different from their previous two tours (although it borrows some stuff from it) and a template for their next concerts - less theatre.

I ordered it from a record store - saves me some troubles with postage and stuff.

PSB once said they were looking into re-releasing It Couldn't Happen Here, Discovery and their first tour MCMLXXXIX on DVD and last year was the BR/DVD release of the first, now the second... Next year, MCMLXXXIX (in its entirety)?

I also have an LD rip of Discovery. The DVD is a lot clearer.
And for It Couldn't Happen Here, subtitles or not, the movie still is incomprehensible

Today, PSB's 12 minute remix for modfather Paul Weller's new single Cosmic Fringes is out now. It's a musical journey through several dance styles and pretty epic.

And there's another song they've remixed. Claptone's Queen of Ice

Claptone remixed Love is a bourgeois construct in 2013

Looking forward to it! The Soft Cell album leaked earlier, but that didn't have the PSB collaboration version. Apparently Soft Cell liked the PSB version so much that that's become the "canon" version.

I admit that I don't know Soft Cell well apart from "Tainted Love" but when PSP mixes it's always good.
