Pioneer of electronic music, the composer and musician is at our microphone for an unprecedented interview on his creative process and on his favorite film music, from Morricone, Fellini, Nino Rota, Visconti, David Lynch...

I'm listening to it this afternoon, I'll make a quick report.

Again, Jarre praised the work of Trent Reznor and Atticus Rose for the music of Social network. He also loves Nino Rota.
Ans says he likes music more acting on his own rather than illustration everything going on in the screenplay.
He says his music from Les Granges Brûlées was something very unusual in french cinema at that time and the moviemaker Jean Chapot had not listened to it until the very end.
And a funny anecdote from 1979 or so about the film American Gigolo for which he refused to make the music for the film. It was while its director Paul Schrader presented him and Charlotte Rampling with the rushes which were very dark and from which no meaning appeared. Schrader even fell asleep during the rushes.
