Was there ever a video broadcast of the 2017 Dead Sea concert ?

The title says it all... I know he performed Ethnicolor there, which was rare for the Electronica tour. It would have been cool to see the official video with the shots that capture the area from a further distance like shown in the clip at 4:40 ...

Despite the spectacular footage that was shown over the years, there's sadly never been a broadcast as far as I know. I would love to be proven wrong.

Well, too bad it is the same old theme that finding proper video recordings is such a challenge...

FYI the Ethnicolor that can be heard in the video is not even the version that was performed during the concert. It's just the usual (432Hz) 1984 album version with additional sounds on top.

I remember seeing a fan video of Ethnicolor and it was a much more modern remix. I'd say it's borderline Dubstep at times. Curious if we'll ever get a full release, because it's odd that the entire thing was officially recorded, but literally nothing was done with it.

I heard the Ethnicolor version from fan recordings, it's still pretty cool.

But odd ? Not really. Jarre has never cared about concert recordings :D

While most if not all JMJ gigs have staff members filming it (and JMJ once posted a timelapse of an entire 2009-2010 tour concert condensed to like 5 minutes filmed by one of the cameras attached to the back part of the stage, maybe the curtains?), the Dead Sea gig is particularly annoying in that regard because not only did they really hype it up with all the Vimeo ads and whatnot - but then the Liebana/Connection Concert gig not too long after the Dead Sea one was broadcasted in full, and that of course had a truncated version of Ethnicolor. :P

(ofc, I'm still most interested in discovering where in the French TV archives all the original tapes for PLD are stored ;))

It's dubstep-ish, yes. There's an interesting dubstep-ish bass sound and hi-hats. The snare, however is more in the vein of the original 1984 version. It's a very interesting fusion.

Not only was it truncated it was a very odd mix with bass lines and toms basically muted. The guitar chords in the finale (originally from the 1984 version, although they are not very pronounced there) were also muted, yet they are very in-your-face in the Dead Sea version.
