JEAN MICHEL JARRE: 'STRIKE' FILM SOUNDTRACK

JULY 4TH: Jean Michel Jarre's Management have confirmed to JARRE UK, that Jean Michel Jarre has provided 6 Tracks for the Film Soundtrack of the NEW German Film 'STRAJK: DIE HELDIN VON DANZIG' ('STRIKE: THE HEROINE OF GDANSK'), directed by acclaimed German Director, Volker Schlöndorff, which gets it's first screening in Gdansk, Poland tomorrow.

The 104 Minutes Film, filmed in Gdansk, Poland last year, is based on the Biography of Anna Walentynowicz, a Shipyard Worker and Trade Union Activist, who's firing in August 1980, sparked the famous Shipyard Strikes that led to the foundation of 'SOLIDARNOSC' (The Solidarity Trade Union).

Jean Michel Jarre's Management confirmed that Jean Michel Jarre was approached by the German Director, Volker Schlöndorff, shortly after his 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' Concert in the Gdansk Shipyards, Gdansk, Poland on August 26th 2005, and was asked to contribute to the Film Soundtrack, which Jean Michel Jarre agreed to and provided the following 6 Tracks:-

SHIPYARD OVERTURE (INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION)
SPACE OF FREEDOM (MARCH 23)
SUITE FOR FLUTE
THEREMIN MEMORIES
TRIBUTE TO JEAN-PAUL II (ACROPOLIS)
PLEASURE PRINCIPLE

Most of the Tracks provided were taken from Jean Michel Jarre's 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' Concert, and have been released on Jean Michel Jarre's 'SOLIDARNOSC LIVE' DVD, with the exception of 'PLEASURE PRINCIPLE' which was taken from Jean Michel Jarre's 'GEOMETRY OF LOVE' Album.

'STRAJK: DIE HELDIN VON DANZIG' will get it's first private screening at the Neptun Cinema in Gdansk, Poland at 21:30 (9:30pm) on July 5th 2006, before being released throughout Europe in September 2006. The Film's Soundtrack will be released in September 2006...WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

4 JUILLET : Le Management de Jean Michel Jarre a confirmé à JARRE UK, que Jean Michel Jarre avait fourni 6 Morceaux pour la Bande Originale du nouveau film allemand 'STRAJK: DIE HELDIN VON DANZIG' ('GREVE: L'HEROINE DE GDANSK'), dirigé par le Directeur Allemand acclamé Volker Schlöndorff, qui ira à la première représentation demain à Gdansk, Pologne.

Le Film de 104 Minutes, filmé à Gdansk, Pologne l'année dernière, est basé sur la Biographie d'Anna Walentynowicz, une travailleuse dans le chantier naval et une Activiste de l'Union d'Entraide, qui est mis à feu en Août 1980, étincelle de la Grève du Chantier Naval qui mènera à la fondation de 'SOLIDARNOSC' (L'Union de Solidarité).

Le Management de Jean Michel Jarre a confirmé que Jean Michel Jarre a été contacté par le Directeur Allemand, Volker Schlöndorff, peu de temps après son concert 'SPACE OF FREEDOM' dans le chantier naval de Gdansk, Pologne, le 26 Août 2005, et à qui il a été proposé de contribuer à la Bande Orignale du film, proposition à laquelle Jean Michel Jarre accepta et fournit les 6 morceaux suivants :

La plupart des morceaux fourni viennent du concert de Jean Michel Jarre 'SPACE OF FREEDOM', et ont été commercialisés sur le DVD de Jean Michel Jarre 'SOLIDARNOSC LIVE', à l'exception de 'PLEASURE PRINCIPLE' qui vient de l'abum de Jean Michel Jarre 'GEOMETRY OF LOVE'.

'STRAJK: DIE HELDIN VON DANZIG' sera projeté la première fois au Cinéma Neptune à Gdansk, Pologne à 21:30 le 5 Juillet 2006, avant d'être sorti à travers l'Europe en Septembre 2006. La Bande Originale du film sera commercialisée en Septembre 2006...REGARDEZ CET ENDROIT!!!

I moved it to the NEWS section as it seems to be more suitable ;)

I'm courious about the film - it touches quite a delicate topic, Anna Walentynowicz is a controvercial person now in Poland.

And of course because of JMJ's music - how did they use it, which moments... :D
