The master recording. Who wouldn't like to own this one?

It is not the master, it is a MFSL one

The price is rather high, I saw the same for 100$ on eBay

I've got one (LP & Vinyl editions) can't remember what I paid but i'm sure it was only about £25 each. Not played either of them as they're both still sealed.
They're supposedly taken from the original master tapes.

I have both the Oxygene & Equinoxe MFSL vinyls. MFSL used to be (I think they went bankrupt halfway trough the nineties or something) a company that used special techniques to obtain a better master. (MFSL = Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab)
Grab it when you can, although you shouldn't pay more than 50 euros

MFSL is still producing LP's and CD's here
http://www.mofi.com/ though the JMJ releases have now been discontinued.

Thanks for all your info. It would have been nice with another Equinoxe LP, but I think I will look for something cheaper. I'm still

shocked by the price of that "souvenir".

Is there a difference of sounds quality? OR is it just a commercial thing.

Hell yeah, there is!
But you'll need dedicated audiophile equipment to hear most of the differences.
You will even notice sounds and details you haven't heard before..., so no commercial tricks here...

Mind the equipment.
