Thus I felt it would be appropriate / fair to put something of my on "display" ... for whatever reason.

Hi,
For something you say it's neither mix nor mastered (it had to be recorded in realtime):
The signal to noise ratio is near infinite, something impossible unless with very pro gear, in 1994.
The tail and pre-audio are totally zero in digital numbers, so there has to be either noise reduction (software) or exceptionaly expensive mics and A/D converters, and I know NONE with 0 flat noise floor (even Apogee 24 bit ones).
In 1994 that would only be possible with Alesis (20 bit) gear or similar, or very expensive Yamaha digital mixing desks (16 bit) that recorded digitally to tape. Not even Minidisks or DCC had a DC offset as good as this "demo" has (they had a lot of harmonic distortion, which your excerpt does not show).
Not to mention the proper bass drum compression and the total lack of phase cancelation in the mix, which is either really pro or soft-generated. The balance however is not the best possible.
A straight to mix take always has noise, phase problems and it's not balanced as this is.
The guitar sounds artificial, and there's aliasing on the violin, which is strangely panned across the pitch.

This is also not normal in 1994, there were aliased samples, but not the libraries with so much detail on the guitar simply were either too expensive or non existant.
Since in 1994, using software, this would take sometime to render if not mixed, you should seriously considerer following an audio engineer career , since for something "not mix neither mastered" done in 1994 - this is pure genious.
Now, as far as the music (which is the only thing you say you care about (altough, mix/master IS part of it) I haven't figured out in what damn time signature are you playing on... thus either means you are a polyrithmic genious (not enouigh to judge) or time-sig variatior, or you are using samples at same tempo but diferent time sigs, which never marry - thus explains the same key note bass and guitar and variations on violin only.
All this, in 1994 (were I was doing Aequo Animo) makes you a lot better than I am (and most) in audio technical terms, as far as music goes, that's up to the listener to decide, speaking for me, I don's see where this is going, except into making me "confused" trying to figure out the damn time-sig you keep cutting trough.
Having said all this crap or not, there's an audio engineering failure though, that software does not make up for - dinamics - there's no change in velocity, expect in the guitar timbre... though I do miss the "fret finger travelling" noise.
Remove the violin and you have a nice motif for a great free jazz jamm, but improve that bass SOUND not the bass notes (as sound IS important, and it takes a lot of space in the mix).
So... what are you up to NOW?
Thanks for the demo, if you did that in 1994, respect... back then I only cared for hyper-dense mixes and melody... which makes them a nightmare to mix properly today (all have a lot of noise too).
Kind Regards,
AMR
