Works for me!

I like the tight flangerish sound and the beat! Too bad it's too short...

It sounds original to me, but I agree with Johan. The intro (I mean the 'machine run') is too short. You might expand it ... maybe with a few epic hits
Anyway, waiting for the rest...

Mike

Ring Mod..to be precise

As for the Drums i wanted to replicate a similar effect to Jarres Shipyard overture, using a Low pass filter, sounds quite pleasing to the ear..and gives the track a certain groove/mood

The Machine run loop is featured more in the full track,I wanted to add modulation to it for the intro slo it didn't sound so static like the original,I added Ring Modulation for the first 8 bars then chopped up the loop using little sections and reversed them, then a little delay and bring in the full loop.
Once the main strings start the Machine run loop is then as the original Jarre version...

Its about halfway finished,i'm adding new bits hopefully if i get time this week i shall finish it and have the full track for upload by the weekend.

Strange ringmod.. I only have 2 external ringmods to choose from. Both are true (diode) ringmods and not semi ones... they do not sound like yours but intresting never the less.... What did you use as second input for the ringmod?

Sounds like something out of Wave's "Enigma" or Izotope's "Spectron", some sort of more sophisticated modulation with ringmod also.

The rest seems could be something like out of an Antares Kanto. 8-)

Chopping and reversing is too much work nowadays. :-D

Still, it all plays very nicely with the drums you added.
It still sounds a tidy bit boxy and muddy (bass) though, but it's in the make so, count this comment off... 8-)

Kind Regards,
AMR

PS - I still have to meet one human that can tell apart a 192kbps mp3 from the original 16bit/44.1khz wav... (why the wav?)
