Steve Irwin - The Crocodile Hunter dies....

Steve Irwin, the Australian Crocodile Hunter has been killed while filming off the Barrier Reef. Early reports say he was stung by a Stingray and died almost instantly.
This is a terrible loss to conservation but at least he died doing what he loved.
Our thoughts are with his family.

I just read this on another forum. God, that's sad. Hope the same doesn't happen to Austin Stevens, the south-african snake expert (he's got a program on channel Five UK), he's great.

I thought this was a joke at first,until I saw it on my internet home page.
I really liked his shows,and his cameo appearence in Dr Dolittle 2.
He will be sadly missed & my thoughts go out to his family.

Apparently he was stung by the Stingray in the heart so there was barely anything people could do. It's really sad.

Yes, it's sad. I'm sorry to say this, but... he did kinda ask for it, didn't he? Always challenging fate with all those wild animals.

Shame....
This guy amazed me with his courage and bravery....
I can recall watching him trying to catch Crocs,by jumping into a swamp AT NIGHT!!!! and tying a rope around the crocs Mouth....this guy had no fear whatsoever!!!!
Still at least he died doing what he loved best....
Its a real sad affair that the one thing he respected so much was to eventually be his undoing....the world has lost a great man....even if he may not be a household celeb...He's still a hero in my eyes....and gave me many hours of "on the edge of the seat moments" and laughter.
Lets hope the people whom work with him will carry on his legacy....

I guess Androids have no soul....
I was never a big fan of him, but it's still very sad when someone dies.
