I feel he lost his way after Waiting For Cousteau musicaly, and everything since Oxygene 7-13 has sounded like a half-hearted attempt to be trendy which I hate. He was THE MAN when he had his wavy mullett and exotic gadgets, his extraordinary concerts and individualistic styling. Now I see an ageing legend trying to act half his age and fit in with a more youthful, musical scene.
I would have liked to have thought he would have grown old happy in that splendid, classy mansion surrounded by those glorious mystical instruments, perfecty preserved in the room that gave birth to intelligent creations like Equinoxe and Rendez-vous.

don't know why he sold it but I believe today he has not less comfort to live and work. if one lives in a city it is not huge difference wether to live in a mansion or a flat. absolutely other point is having a mansion somewhere in a calm place. but I think his flat or maybe another house is absolutely suitable for him. at least Jarre can afford himself to live in a house he feels comfortable and as in his home.
