Because at the moment, the Galaxie is the 3rd arena (in size) in France (up to 12 200 persons) ! Biggest is Bercy in Paris, 2nd is Hall Tony Garnier in Lyon.

I know JMJ had a bad experience there in 1997 (the show was almost not advertised, so it sold very badly...), I'm quite sure they choose the Amphi (which is smaller) because of that, and if it sells well, they will move to the Mega hall

Back then...other label (he is not releated to label now), other times, other way of promotion, other promoter.
