A patch is literally a solution. And as Nico says, it's also a term for synths, originally dating back to the old modular synths, which needed patch cables to work. Therefor every programmed sound on a synth is today still called a patch

Well, I have a problem with this word :

eyewhitnesses

It is something about eyes but so

Don't you mean "eyewitnesses" (I saw it also written with the hyphen: "eye-witnesses")

If yes - that's in fact the same that "witnesses" - people who saw the crime f.e. a murder and can tell about it in the court (obviously if not killed or something ) - in simple Ronja's words

I think there's also a word "eyewhites" (I saw it in lyrics of some song), I guess referring to the white parts of the eye...but you probably meant what I wrote before - eyewitnesses.
