I have this box

Image

Description from ebay:
Don’t assume that this is the 10th Anniversary set. This is an exceptionally rare 8 CD set that it is likely you will never have seen before.

Released in FRANCE by Dreyfus (cat# 9000 400) exclusively for use by mail order company Club DIAL, the box could not be bought without your being a club member in France. 1000 CD boxes were compiled.

The box is made of solid card (not the flimsy thing that the 10th Anniversary set came in). The 8 CDs are still in their shrink-wrapping. They are the French releases of;

Oxygene
Equinoxe
Les Chantes Magnetiques
Les Concerts En Chine – 2 CD Set
Zoolook
Rendez-Vous
En Concert / Houston-Lyon

What is this? It's missing in Clubmix's site!

I knew about it.

It's the same as 10th anniversary boxset, but with different cardboard used (more solid) - it comes with Polygram CDs in stead of Polydor... limited to 1000 copies, so it makes a great collectible. I've never seen one for sale before. It's sometimes referred to as the french release of the 10th anniversary set, opposed to the german (international) release - which is in fact incorrect, as stated in the ebay description, it was not for sale in the french shops.

So grab it if you can ;)

Ok, now I'm confused. I have one of these boxed sets, I think it's the french one.

As far as I know, there is no french version of this box.

Check if it says Polygram in stead of Polydor on the back&front of the box and if there's any french text on the box. If there's only french issues of the albums in the box, you might have bought it from someone who mixed up the original content...

Oh thank god. Mine is the real one printed in West Germany with all the correct labels and writing, etc. They are all Polydor CDs, true to the box. So, how rare's my version?
Also, what's up with the Zoolook & Zoolookologie remixes? Zoolook has a LOT more slap bass in it, fun-kay 8)

Not extremely rare, but surely a nice collectible. Worth 40~50 euros...

That seems to be the 85 remix then... thank François Kervorkian for that ;)
