He is now trying pioneering on fields of albums (remaster, re-record - or whatever we say - old pieces and - hopefully - working hard on brand new album) and tour (exploring new territories).
Once he finishes these projects, he may get to things you mention.

But to come back to your 60s music remark: well yeah, the only thing we know of his 60s solo period is La Cage and Erosmachine, which were composed in 1969 and released in 1971. His biography mentions Happiness Is A Sad Song, but no-one knows what that is. And whilst you might not like it, there are others who do love it.

Besides, it's still part of a musical legacy. A musicologist might be interested in JMJs progression from the GRM Musique Concrete-concept to a landmark album like Oxygene, how Oxygene came to be, what musical studies JMJ has done to finally come up with his own style and form. It's a shame if JMJ doesn't include a song like Helza in the compilation, because that's probably the closest to Oxygene and Equinoxe, apart from the last part of Dorian, which could be on Oxygene easily and the theme of Setyricon of course.

The completist in me is very excited about hearing this unreleased and ultra-rare material. And other people probably want to have La Cage in any physical form, but don't want to pay 300 euro for a single...

What's the total playing time of Deserted Palace plus the most interesting 7" singles?
(too lazy to check :P)

I wonder if it will all fit on one CD. The least I can hope for is a musical album...

But did Jarre say he'd release the whole album? I may be wrong but he said "Deserted Palace", not "full Deserted Palace". Careful, some people here might be disappointed if only a couple of tracks from that album are included on the new CD :wink:
