Only word describing this "remix" is blah!

I didn't like it.

It's hard to explain. You can't just sit and study it. It sorta works on your subconcious when it plays in the background and you're concentrating on something else. It's wierd, yes, but it will grow on you.

Having listened to this album in it's entirety I quite like it... and it feel likes a grower. Oxygene 2 is a particular highlight... 8)

It doesn't sound like the Oakenfold I know of... certainly not his Perfecto stuff... I'll play it to my brother in law who is something of an Oakenfold expert and come back to you.

Mind you, bits of it sound really good. It's clearly someone who knows what they are doing, and someone who loves (and lives) the Oxygene album. I think many of the additions seem to be in harmony with the original. A bit of a precursor to 'the Grey album'!

I wondered if it was JMJ himself? Getting himself into the right mood before working on Oxygene 7-13? It's definately the right period and a bit of a coincidence that this trance mix is released in 1994 and Oxygene 7-13 is the next proper JMJ release?

They actually improved Oxygene 3 IMO, but hey made it too long & thus lost its impact.
A real hash of Oxygene 2.

I didn't mind Oxygene III so much - except for the pauses. I think their version of Oxygene VI is excellent for a DJ set...
